Your Personal Privacy at YggdrasilSoft
At YggdrasilSoft, LLC. we take your personal privacy very seriously and are committed to safe-guarding you and your information that you share with us. We believe that it is very important to disclose the nature of the data that we collect, and, most importantly, how it is being used.
Currently, we do not use cookies on YggdrasilSoft's websites. This however, does not mean that we are not considering their use in future site design. If we do, they will be used only as a method of authentication for sections of the site that require it.
There are various types of data that we collect on our website. Some of this data is aggregate numerical data, like the statistical types of web browsers used to access the site, while the more seneitive data is any information that you submit to us on one of our many websites. The information that you submit may be any of the following:

E-mail Addresses: We ask for your e-mail addresses when you register for any of our many mailing lists or news letters. Mailing lists allow you to exchange information about our products with others with similiar interests. Our news letters let us get information to you about our company's recent projects and newest releases.

Registration information: When you purchase a copy of AltimatOS or one of our commercial applications, we ask that you register it so that we may provide you with the support that YggdrasilSoft, LLC. prides ourselves on. The information that we request you submit when you register is the registration number of the disks that you bought, your personal information, and information about what types of hardware that you plan to, or have installed our products on.

Testimonials: When you submit testimonials about one of our pruducts to be put in one of our user forums, we ask that you submit as much information as possible. It is at your discretion whether to remain anonymous or to include your name.

Corporate Registrations and Partnerships: Any company registering to become parters with YggdrasilSoft, LLC. must provide accurate information about their business activities. Additionally, they must provide the name and work title of a contact personnel. Without this information, we cannot fulfill our partnership responsibilities.

Donations: We accept donations to help fund our operations and projects. On our page for donations, we use the PayPal payment system (which has it's own privacy statement.) On that page we collect your billing information. Please be advised that we do not store credit card data.
We use your personal information for the following purposes:

If you subscribe to one of our mailing lists or to a newsletter, we keep your email address in our database to send you the information that you requested and/or to allow you to participate in discussions on the previously mentioned lists. If you send a message to one of our lists that you may be subscribed to, other subscribers to that list will see your email address. However, external parties do not have access to our database of subscribers. At any time you may unsubscribe to any of our lists by using the appropriate form.

If you provided information when you registered a product to recieve support, we use this to contact you about our various support services.
There are only very specific instances where YggdrasilSoft, LLC. will share your personal data with outside parties. These are:

A law enforcement official, with proper legal warrant asks for your data.

You request additional support from one of our partners through our web-site. In this case, we will share with them your data to provide the requested service. These sites where data is shared have warnings posted on them that your data will be shared with the appropriate parties.
You can have your data edited or deleted by e-mailing our
Webmaster
and either detailing the changes that need made, or request your
data deleted.
